You Need A Budget Review

YNAB is a Game Changer

If you are someone who has never planned their spending, You Need A Budget (YNAB) is a great tool for you to get started. YNAB gives you the ability to plan a budget that works for you, down to the penny. You can make your budget as simple or as complicated as you want it to. I think YNAB is a great tool for anyone who wants to save money, pay down debt or understand where they are spending their money. I am in the middle of my debt free journey.

When you first setup YNAB, you can connect your bank accounts easily. This will pull in all of your future spending & show how much money you have in the band. Then you can make categories for where you spend your money. There are free classes with and without instructors on getting signed up on the apps website. I learn by doing and thought the free classes with an instructor were helpful.

Each time you swipe your card, you need to mark every dollar spent in the YNAB app, and YNAB will tell you exactly how much money you have to spend. Doing this each time reminds you how much money you have in your bank account (even when your banks app is out of date). YNAB allowed me to get out of the paycheck to paycheck cycle and spend more of my time and money doing things I care about. Instead of spending my money on food, shoes and on gadgets without a care in the world, my spending became more thoughtful.

YNAB allows you to be positive, measurable and successful in your journey to financial independence. There are awesome trainings on using YNAB, from the app, and helpful groups on Reddit and Facebook of YNAB users. This get started guide from youneedabudget.com has all of the information you need. YNAB is $100 per year, and you can also pay monthly. When you sign up you 34 days to try the app out.

You can sign up with YNAB using my referral code and we each will get a free month.
